Set in 1980s Hongjing, Do No Harm is a tightly wound action thriller about a principled surgeon forced to choose between her Hippocratic oath and the lives of her patients when violent gangsters storm an aging private hospital. Blending visceral action with moral suspense, the film marked Roseanne Liang's first foray into action cinema and became an international festival favourite.
